Social Responsibility

Invesment in Israel's Youth
As part of Israeli society, Elron is committed to social responsibility and effecting social change in Israel. Due to Elron's nature, the company has chosen to focus on technology oriented projects, as well as advancing youth through education and development of entrepreneurship.

During 2000-2005, Elron supported the Tapuah Fellowship Society, which provides computer centers to underdeveloped areas. Without the aid of the Tapuah Fellowship Society, the residents of these areas would not have had access to the world of information technology.

Since 2001, Elron has regularly contributed to organizations such as the Israel Young Entrepreneurs Organization, a global non-profit educational organization for young entrepreneurs. Elron also supports IDBelieve, a mentoring program for entrepreneurs, active throughout the IDB group.

Elron actively supports The Israel National Museum of Science, Technology and Space through considerable contributions during 2000-2004.

Elron is also a regular contributor to the Atidim Project, a joint initiative between the Israel Defense Forces, Ministry of Education, the Jewish Agency and private Israeli philanthropists. The project provides equal opportunities to talented and motivated young people from Israel's peripheries enabling them to participate in the IDF academic reserve program.

Throughout 2007, Elron made significant donations to the city of Nahariya, located in the northern part of Israel. One was a contribution of NIS 2.5 million (an amount equivalent to about $625,000) towards building an athletics stadium for the children of the nearby school and for the residents of the city. The stadium was inaugurated in June 2008. Elron's second donation in 2007 was made to the "Amal" school in the city for two computer laboratories totaling approximately NIS 170,000 (an amount equivalent to about $42,500). The computer laboratories will be used by the students of the technological studies program, the majority of whom have problems adjusting to the regular educational system.

Beyond its active involvement in advancing technology and education, Elron is also an ongoing contributor to a large number of charitable organizations in Israel.
